Envylope App by Amit & Bandhna Bajaj – Featured in Asian World Newspaper – September 2014

Hello all!  September brought in a pleasant surprise for us.  We were so happy to see our app being featured in almost a full page on a newspaper.  It was featured in Asian World Newspaper – September 2014, page 25! 🙂

Just so you don’t have to strain your eyes, here’s just the text:

Extremely Easy Baked Banana & Nutella

As you get busier you tend to cut some corners where food is concerned.  This is especially true when snacking.  So to make sure I don’t jump on the full-fatty-wagon,  I keep nuts and seeds nearby my computer.  For a dessert craving that is relatively healthy (as opposed to eating a banana split LOL) is this!  I’d love to take credit for this idea, but its not mine.  I came across it months ago on the internet (I’m not sure where, but the person put chocolate chips in the banana).  I put Nutella.  Not a big diff.  But just to be clear.  It’s a Nutella banana boat!  I’ve just bought Raw Peruvian Cacao Nibs that I will try putting instead.

Easy Baked Banana & Nutella

Makes: One Banana Boat

  • One banana
  • 2 tbsp of Nutella

  • Slit the banana length wise in the middle.
  • Stuff with Nutella
  • Wrap with foil
  • Bake in the oven at 200 degrees for 15 mins.

YES that’s it.  It’s truly decadent.  Feast in.  I’d recommend one each if you are two people LOL.  My husband and I couldn’t share one. Just FYI!

Product Reviews By Bandhna Kaur

Since I enjoy reviewing latest gadgets and products I’ve decided to offer product reviews.  I’m looking for anything interesting and unique.  Things that are unique to the market.  I believe that every invention has an intelligent idea behind it.  Some of them work and some unfortunately do not pan out as well.  Some products just need to be discovered.  I love hidden gems that are waiting to be realised.

If you have a product you’re interested for me to give my thoughts on, get in touch with me!

Creamy Avocado and Corn Jacket Potato

I tried a healthy version of Jacket Potato – just because I absolutely love it but can’t afford to look like a big fat potato as a result.  This recipe is vegan and vegetarian friendly.  Easy to make and delish to eat!

I’ve been writing for Almonds and Raisins, a well-being site based in Thailand.  My recipe can be found there. Here’s a screen shot of the page!

Review: VonShef Stone Raclette Grill

I’ve recently bought the VonShef Stone Raclette Grill.  I was missing some grilled cheese from Switzerland.  I was there 2 years ago, the cheese is to die for.  I bought this grill to have an indoor BBQ as the weather in London is so unpredictable.  So just in case. I absolutely loved it (thought I’d give you my verdict first) 🙂

Here are pictures that prove that Vegetarians can have a great grill too!

 So vibrant and beautiful

The layered grill.. Such an awesome feature!

Loved the Kebabs!

You can’t go wrong with Quorn Sausages. You seriously can’t.

Cheese from heaven.  It just couldn’t get any better.

Here’s a breakdown of the VonShef Grill.  What I liked/disliked etc!

What we had for dinner from the grill:

  • Quorn Sausages with bread
  • Halloumi-Cherry Tomato Kebabs
  • Roasted Potatoes
  • Corn on the Cob
  • Grilled Asparagus
  • Grilled Peppers
  • Grilled Gruyere Cheese *to die for*

How to Use the Grill:

  • Pre-heat it for 20-25 mins
  • Brush oil on it lightly
  • Rub a bit of salt on the stone

What I liked about it:

  • Fun & Interactive Dinner
  • Easy to assemble
  • Healthy cooking option (minimal oil)
  • Grilled food is always yummy!

What I disliked about it:

  • You have to wait to wash up (I left it overnight, but some people say 3-4 hours is plenty)
  • Washing up by hand as opposed to a dishwasher
  • The wire for the cord is not long enough to use on the table – I got an external long adapter
